Top 25 Steam Deck Most Played Games in June 2026

Summary

Slay the Spire 2 and Stardew Valley held the top two spots in June. Other games climbed around updates, DLC, and the Steam Summer Sale, though ranks alone cannot explain why.

Published Updated 11 sourcesBy John Hentrich

Slay the Spire 2 and Stardew Valley held first and second in June, while DELTARUNE entered at eighth. Several other climbers had recent updates or DLC, and the chart's final days overlapped the Steam Summer Sale.

This June 30 snapshot uses Steam's rolling last-30-days Deck chart rather than a formal June 1-30 report. The window overlaps the Steam Summer Sale, which ran June 25-July 9, so late-window movement may reflect sale visibility as well as Deck suitability.

What stayed on top

Slay the Spire 2 held first for a second month, and Stardew Valley held second. Their turn-based encounters and farm-day routines offer natural stopping points for handheld sessions.

Baldur's Gate 3 held seventh while the games around it moved. PC Gamer noted before May closed that it had fallen out of the Deck top five in only four of its first 33 months.

The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077, and Elden Ring stayed inside the top 15, with the first two climbing. The Witcher 3 was deeply discounted during the Steam Summer Sale, so its ten-place move may reflect sale visibility as well as handheld fit.

Games climbing around updates and DLC

DAVE THE DIVER, Path of Exile 2, and No Man's Sky climbed while Steam surfaced update or DLC messaging on their capsules. Because those moves overlapped Summer Sale week, the timing supports correlation rather than a clean cause.

DAVE THE DIVER made the largest jump in the upper half, up 26 places to fourth on the May-to-June baseline used here, carrying a New DLC Available tag. The DLC timing aligns with the move, and its short dives and frequent saves already suit interrupted Deck sessions.

Path of Exile 2 posted the largest climb in the June top 25, up 28 places to 21st from the May top-50 baseline after its Return of the Ancients update. No Man's Sky returned at 25th with the Swarm update, Dead by Daylight climbed to 26th, and Forza Horizon 6 held third after its Horizon Decades update.

Path of Exile 2 climbed to 21st while still marked Playable rather than Verified. Red Dead Redemption 2 was another Playable game farther down the chart. Their ranks show that compatibility badges do not determine chart position.

The new arrivals

DELTARUNE entered eighth after Chapter 5 released June 24. Its 2D, controller-first chapters suit short Deck sessions. Mina the Hollower rose 15 places to fifth, and Megabonk rose five to 17th. DELTARUNE and Mina ranked above games with much larger overall-Steam audiences.

The SteamCharts columns are overall-Steam figures, not Steam Deck figures. They are included for scale and direction only. The review column is the lifetime positive-review share from Steam's user review summary data, rounded to the nearest whole percent and accessed on June 30, 2026. The table covers the full Steam Deck top 25 from the June 30 snapshot; where SteamCharts did not return comparable monthly rows, the player-count fields stay marked as n/a.

Which May leaders fell

Subnautica 2 fell 22 places to 27th after a top-five May debut. That is a large rank drop, but it does not tell us how many Deck players returned or stopped playing.

Vampire Crawlers fell 27 places to 31st after holding fourth in May. Its strong first full month did not lead to another top-five finish.

Diablo IV fell 16 places to 22nd while its overall-Steam activity also cooled. The two trends moved together; neither measures how well the game works on Deck.

Compatibility badges still did not map neatly to actual play. Skyrim Special Edition charted while Unsupported, and Path of Exile 2 climbed while only Playable.
