Steam Machine Settings for Five Big Adventures

Four of our five adventure picks have a 1440p output median in the Steam Machine database. Cyberpunk 2077 sits at 1080p. All five share a 60 FPS target median and a High graphics median, making resolution the clearest difference in their reported settings.

The figures in this guide come from our October 16, 2026 review of public observations. Each setting has its own median, so these are not complete tested setups. The table below shows the latest data, prices, and Steam reviews when available. We have not benchmarked these games as a group.

Elden Ring

Elden Ring had 14 public observations at review, with a 60 FPS target median. For its demanding fights, we would prioritize consistent movement and readable attacks.

Look for the area or boss named in an observation. That context helps you judge how relevant the result is to the part of the game you are playing.

Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 had the largest evidence pool here, with 53 public observations, and the only 1080p output median. Its graphics median was still High.

High leaves an important question unanswered: was ray tracing enabled? The preset label also leaves upscaling and internal resolution unspecified. Check those options in the same documented configuration before judging the image or adding ray tracing.

Red Dead Redemption 2

For a slower evening in a western landscape, Red Dead Redemption 2 is our choice. It had 21 public observations and a 1440p output median. Compare the image from your usual seat, keeping the frame cap fixed while testing a graphics or resolution change so you can tell what helped.

Baldur's Gate 3

In Baldur's Gate 3, dialogue and party management deserve as much attention as the scenery. Its output median was 1440p, but that number cannot tell you whether the interface is comfortable from the sofa. Try reading dialogue and managing the inventory from your normal seat before settling on display settings.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

The Witcher 3 had a 1440p output median and 17 public observations. Our Steam catalog used the Remastered name at review, which does not establish which build an older observation describes. Match the report's game version to your installed build before copying its graphics options.
